Aside from loading firefox with 4 gigs of ram usage and then crashing firefox horribly it looks to be promising. I'll try giving it a go on IE..

It could be that I have way too many images in my wedding gallery 100 and somrthing I believe... I know I am trying to narrow it down.

There are less images here: http://www.sarahashleyphotos.com/engagement (external link)

^Oh, no, sorry--I wasn't referring to your gallery at all. I'm sure it looks fine. I'm just saying on my setup (firefox on windows 7) I can't even get to the customization screen to, e.g., take advantage of the new font options. My browser just blows up. I'll have to check the zen forums to see what's up.

Just notice their new designs after I had completed my website a few days ago - oh well! Is Zenfolio worth sticking with?
So far, it seems pretty easy to use but I don't know anything about their other services.

I am loving the new designs. I have a completely different type of site, with a completely different look. That is a sign of a flexible host.

I went with a full screen slide show to open with and then variable sized thumbnails in the gallery, with the titles overlaid on it. Suites me well since it is more of an archive/catalog for my photos, rather than a sales and fulfillment type site.

Overall pleased with the new options.

One of the features I like on smugmug, that I can't see after a quick look on Zen, is the ability to set prices.
For example, I put together a gallery of pictures from an event, then when folks go to my page, they can buy prints at the prices I set (smug and the printer take their cut, I get what's left). Different pictures and/or different galleries can have different prices.

I haven't created a page on either yet, but that feature is key.

Hairy_moth, Zen has all that features you mentioned above. I used them all the time.

You can set your own prices on zenfolio with a premium account. Artical about the feature here (external link).

Yay Zen! I was really excited when I saw that the new thumbnails and options were activated. Also, finally the pics can go full screen. I have been messing with my page a little. I'll be redoing much more next month when I get more time. Sarah Ashley you have a really really nice page. Well done and nicely organized IMO.

I think its that funeral music they offer that makes the pages load slow. ;)
