Howdy All! Just joined up after getting a new T3 / 1100d as a Christmas present from the wife. Thought this would be a good place to learn to use the hell out of it and maybe, somewhere along the line, even upgrade if I "outgrow" it. But for now, I think the T3 will do what I want it to. I primarily like to shoot waterfowl and the associated nature scenery. I used to have an Olympus E-500 but it had some problems so decided to go with Canon to replace it since I see most of the pros using those big white lens. If you're interested I have a web site with some of my photographs on it which will give you an idea of the type of photography I'm primarily in to.

...anyway, great to be here and hope to learn a lot over the next few months. I'll probably "lurk" for a short while just to get a feel for the forum and do some searches on the topics I'm interested in before I start posting with any regularity. Thanks in advance!

Welcome.
Your web page would not load for me.
The problem may be at my end because my PC needs a tune up for that, and similar problems.

Welcome to the boards here. I just received a T3 for Christmas too. I love it so far, and you'll learn a lot here, some great advice on these forums.
