What to do if you suspect a bogus seller
I recently purchased an item on this forum. Sent the funds via paypal gift and was told the item had shipped the next day( Monday) and a the tracking number would sent the following day as the number was at the office that was Monday night. haven't heard a word from the seller since. have sent numerous pm's and direct email.
Have pm'd the seller while they were on line on line still no response. Curious about the proper etiquette on how to proceed?

Never send money PP gift unless one has excellent feedback. Nothing you can do but wait.

Since you paid via paypal gift. You have no recourse here. Just keep trying to get in touch. That's the bad about paypal gift purchase. There is no protection.

Well, at this point you just have to hope that they did in fact send it. Since you sent the money as a gift, you really have no protection.

If you do not receive it, then you should inform the moderators of this site so they can keep the user from trying to sell anything again.

Call your bank/credit card company and say you never authorized this transaction.

You cant use a credit card with paypal gift.

Was he or she a long time member? With great feedbacks???

Yes you can, it just grosses up the fees.

I see they changed the gift format.

All for sale threads with paypal gift should be deleted. If seller accept paypal then they should not have a problem paying the fees.

You mean if the buyers are willing to pay for the fees, seller shouldn't have problems using regular paypal.
