No i mean if the seller wants to be paid by paypal , he should have no problem eating the fees. or price your items accordingly.
All for sale posts asking for paypal gift should be deleted :)

You mean if the buyers are willing to pay for the fees, seller shouldn't have problems using regular paypal. :)

Totally agree. Also sellers don't have to use PayPal. While it is convenient, convenience usually comes with a price.

Not really. How about we stop people from lowballing? Adding the fees on top of the selling price will lead to an increase. Still far less cheaper than on ebay. I have begun to notice that the message board are getting more and more cheap buyers. I normally sell my gear on this message board but I don't remember I have a successful sales here for a while. My last transaction was a 70-200L f2.8 IS mark II, few months ago. I ended up selling it on Ebay for $2k. I priced the lens here for $1850 + Paypal fee. No takers or some silly lowballers.

Hope it works out for you. I too get nervous on some of my purchases. So far I've not purchased any expensive items.

Stop lowballing ! it sounds like you are trying to earn a living here by selling your wares. :)
How about if you ignore the lowballs. seller are taking advantage of the paypal Gift feature.

Buyers google the word gift and read and understand its definition.

cheers

Asking some one to send PP fees as a gift when you are using their service to sale anything is PP fraud. they will close your account .

Sending Money as a gift for Items , then getting burned from the seller and turning the transaction over to PP is like having a drug deal go wrong and calling the cops.

You have all the advice that you need on what you should have done and how to proceed. We do not allow the public airing of private POTN transactions. We also do not allow public floggings of our members or the raising of lynch mobs.
