As mentioned, it isn't very big, maybe 6 ft (2 meters) tall.

I am down on my elbows shooting up at it with a very light rain coming down that gives the otherwise dusty earth some texture and color.

Located on the road from Furnace Creek to Badwater, most visitors don't even know that Mushroom Rock is there..

This was taken with a light rain coming down that brought out some of the Desert colors

The rock is maybe 6' tall. This is a hard rock to shoot since there's a road right to the left of the rock. You can see the road in my shot. Larry did a good job keeping it out of his photo. This is a reason I use Google Earth before going somewhere, to find the cool things.
