I'm in love with the screen of the MBP but i cannot justify my purchase for an MBP, firstly, the specs arent that good compared to my good ole desktop, any ideas for a monitor?

I'm sure if you searched for a particular Dell monitor, or just Dell monitor, there would be quite a few threads that came up. VanillaImaging.com

That being said, I have an i5 and 8GB of RAM and it's more than enough - I've got 4x that in a Win 7 machine and would still prefer my macbook pro with Mavericks. 5D MK II x2 | 35L f1.4 | 85 f1.8 | 135L f2

Which begs the question, "which screens have you seen?" VanillaImaging.com

It's decent, but not anywhere near my laptop; I had a 21.5" iMac and liked it's screen. Have several new 24" Asus monitors at work, but they are junk. The only screen I like better is the 15" rMBP and the 27" iMac. 5D MK II x2 | 35L f1.4 | 85 f1.8 | 135L f2

Spend some time with some quality NEC or Eizo monitors, you'll find yourself whipping out the checkbook. VanillaImaging.com
