Ok so first off I'm still pretty new at shooting video with my Canon 70D. I recently bought a slider and started doing some panning but I noticed the camera auto-corrects if I'm shooting something in a light area, pan to dark object, then back to light area. So as your watching the video you can see the camera is attempting to correct the lighting through the shot and it looks like crap.

I am using manual focus, manual white balance, the lighting optimizer is disabled, both illumination and chromatic aberrations in lens aberration correction is disabled, but I still am getting the same issue.

Do you guys have any idea how to stop this?

Thanks in advance.

Micah

What mode are you using? I don't shoot video but I assume that you can still set it to Av / Tv etc. ? If you are using ANY such automatic mode, then the camera will try and keep the "correct" exposure as the meter sees it, and that will be affected by light or dark objects.

If you set the exposure manually, the camera won't make any attempt to correct the exposure as you are telling it what settings to use. So, if you switch to M, set an appropriate aperture, shutter speed and ISO, the camera should keep to those settings and stop trying to correct the exposure.
