In a bit of lens dilemma and need some assistance. If only there weren't SO many options! lol

Will be getting the 24-105 sometime in the next few months. Plan to use it for everything from portraits to sports to performances. Also have a 50mm 1.4. Shooting with a 5D and a 20D. Been looking at the 70-200 f/4 non IS since it's within my budget. But I want to avoid having three lenses if necessary so as not to have as many lens changes (sensor is a dust magnet). Should I just go ahead and spring for the tele or will the two lenses be enough?

Heya,

That's completely up to you. It comes down to what focal length range you want.

You can get a super zoom, which ranges from wide to telephoto (like 18-200mm). Or you can go with entry level `L glass and get two lenses.

If you want to go with a budget, maybe look at Tramron.

Tamron 70-200 F2.8

And call it a day.

Very best,

Why not try to get the 70-200 2.8, it can be used to make beautiful portraits andfor sports a 70-200 2.8 is almost a must especially if lighting conditions are not too great.
