I had never seen one in the wild before (they have an Eastern Asia natural range) and this bird is most likely an escapee from a zoo somewhere. He was in a small area of open water with about 100 Mallards so it was hard to isolate him for a decent pic.   Water off a duck's back!  Scott

This one was in our area for about 5 or 6 days and seemed really healthy and was standing up for himself with the Mallards. Scott
