nice move Peter,
this Sony thing is always at the back of my mind. Love to hear from you on how did this go.
I was speaking to the Australian Photographer of the Year for AIPP the other day. He told me that if i want to shed some weight, i got let go of my Quadra set. He's using the D3 while I am with 5D3 and I'm considering upping to 1Dx. We laughed.

Ha. Sorry Canon, I'm dropping your $600 camera and replacing it with $4000 worth of camera.

I looked and played with the Sony line up of cameras last week at the PPA convention. I was impressed with the small form factor and impressive sensor size. But I'm not ready just yet to give up my three Canons just to save a few ounces of weight. Maybe later when I'm REAL old ;)

I don't really get it. Why not just get a new mark 3? With a 50 1.4 on it it's pretty light. And do you really want to walk around with 4 cameras strapped on? You''re going to look like c3po.

nice move.
I played with my buddy's A7 and a few M lenses and very impressed at the manual focus capability.
an A7 for long tele shots might be in my list

I've just created my own custom four camera carrying system...

This sounds like a mess. Could you please post a picture of yourself wearing everything?

I've already got a 50 L I'm not getting the 1.4

I thought you said you were using a 1.4 with your Sony, or is that a Leica?

Still, I have never seen a wedding photographer carry more than two bodies before so I'm curious what this looks like.

Sony is on my mind as well. There's a sale on the Sonys right now.. $300 off if you turn in any camera (any). Thought about it for a good couple hours.
