I like hearing that. I try to make my pics as non-gaudy as possible and as close to the scene (IE, no HDR or light painting). Moving from the 7D to the 6D seems to have helped with color, too.

I just like accurate, natural colors in most photos and the Whitetail deer being my favorite animal, this image is pleasing to me.
Which lens was used for this image? If moving from the 7D to 6D has made a difference in colors for you I wonder if I would see a big change if I were to move to some L glass?

Mike,

That is a great photo of a grand old non-typical White-tailed buck.

I used the 300 F4 L IS prime for this, in conjunction with the Canon 1.4x II TC. In my experience you will see color improvement with L's. That and build quality are most noticeable.

Mike,

It's great to see a pic of "Duke"! Very nicely done - great image!

When were you there? I am assuming this was early November? If it was, I can't believe I missed you.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
