So MDJK and I went over to Croton Point, over by the Hudson River, to find us some baldy eagles to shoot We eventually got to see about a half dozen from a variety of distances. The start of our search was discovering a mature bird standing out on the river ice about a mile away. Then things warmed up from there. These are taken with my 7D with a 70-200mm attached. Funny how when shooting birds the conversation always leads to topics involving the numbers: 400, 500 & 600.

These are great! Thanks for posting.
Did you take these shots inside Croton Point Park?
Too bad they're forecasting snow tomorrow. And I am stuck at work today. It is beautiful outside.

QUOTED IMAGE

Kevan:

I do not know if you are aware of this but this immi is banded a federal band and a gold band (Massachusetts). I have many shots taken of an immi in Maryland Banded S3 from Massachusetts.

Way to go.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.

Thanks, Ted. Not until these images were loaded on the 'puter did I notice the bands. Thanks for adding more detail.

Snow, yep, inside the park, near the nature center there. And double-yep, the day is spectacular.
