Viewfinder only seeing about 30% of image..

Look at this link, you can take off your lens a SEE if your camera has a focusing screen. You don't even need to touch anything.

Send it all back for a brand new one. NO reason not to. If this came through their safety checks (mistakes happen)
But you never know if there is another defect in this camera. Perhaps the inspector was sick that day.
