Who would have known the plain looking Willet hid such lovely wing patches ?

willets are lovely birds. You did well. See if you can bring the exposure up somewhat in post processing.

Well done, I did not get to see those gorgeous patches on the birds I captured this spring. I agree with Tina on lifting your exposure.
