Looks nice and clean. Loads quick and functions properly on my tablet.
I was hoping that I could swipe the pics in your galleries.

Oh, your pics are really good too! :-)

Why?

Security holes, flaws, even in premium bought themes. Best bet, for website and security, is to make one or have someone make one from the bottom-up.

My 2 cents.

Templates and WP platform are two different things. Usually, templates are just set of styles and images, so, can't have any security holes. WP is very robust platform and when people say about security holes they don't realize that those are server security issues, not WP.

Here we go again. You might want to read this.: https://photography-on-the.net …/showthread.php?t=1353969

I have yet to see/read any proof that WP has holes/security leaks.

My two-pennies. ;)

Ok, I see what happened. Staying out of the discussion.

My two cents for everyone:

- I've been developing for WP for years and it is an amazing platform.
- Be careful when downloading free themes. They can contain malicious code that people classify as WP security problems.
- Choose a good hosting provider who knows how to configure and maintain their servers.
- Update WP regularly.

P.S. Nice photos Hendrik, and site, too.

The website for my business is wordpress based. Professionally created. It's very user friendly and easily allows me to update myself which makes it very dynamic and seo happy. It also keeps maintenance costs down. I have nothing but good things to say about wordpress.

Wow, this discussion got a little out of hand. :D

Personally speaking: I really like WordPress and I don't really care about any security issues as there is nothing worth of exploiting on my website.

Thanks for the nice word regarding my site, I really appreciate it! :)

Have a nice day!

Hendrik

I love the site, and your work. The only issue I ran into is that the swiping of photos on the home page is a little spastic on my mac. I can't swipe to one photo, it swipes to the first and the last. Other than that, I love it, including your "About" section.

My wordpress site was hacked, and I lost everything...

I now use weebly.

Simple, clean, and easy to maintain. No issues so far. :)

Changing to a different service wont protect you against the stupidity of not having a proper back up and not maintaining your site properly (most hacks are done against sites running old and out of date versions of whichever CMS is being used).

I use Wordpress and keep it up to date. Even if it was hacked I would lose nothing because I have a backup. In fact I have a plugin that automatically emails me a copy of my site database automatically so I don't have to do anything.
