Hello, I was wondering if it was possible to recover any deleted files from my San Disk Extreme sd card. If that's the case, how is it possible to fully deleted these datas? Cause I'm reading various things on the internet whether they keep some data or not.

Thank you!

In this case, when will be the files permanently deleted?

when you overwrite them
there are some utilities called Secure delete
you can choose how many time to overwrite fake data on your disc
7 time overwriting is enough to deleted data forever , less than that can be recovered by hardware recovery tools (1x overwrite is enough for software recovery)

You mean that if I deleted a file, and then recorded something else, that deleted file would be lost for ever?

Your request for help was "if it was possible to recover any deleted files from my San Disk Extreme sd card."

You do that by downloading and installing the free version of the program to be found at http://www.z-a-recovery.com/ (external link). Then you run the program and see if it will recover deleted files.

First things first. You'll never know if the program will give you what you want until you install and run it.

Maybe, but even if the newly recorded file would exactly overwrite the file, the original might be recoverable. But to the average PC user it would be exceedingly difficult to recover files. Hence the reason the Department of Defense suggests that to wipe a drive, it be overwritten seven times.

bannedPermanent ban

I use Recuva. Fast. Free. It has never failed me. It also has a secure over-write feature.

yes , if your data is very important use a secure delete software (the process will take a long time to be done depending on your memory size and write speed )
if its just personal photos that`s not very important , you can delete them all , format the memory and copy few big files that match your memory space (I normally do that we I want to lend my SD or USB flash to someone, I tried 3-4 recovery tools and I couldn't recover more that few damaged photos)

You can try Remo Recover application once because I have used this
software many times to recover some deleted photos and videos. It never
disappoints me and always restores entire data without any failure.
