It's been awhile but I had the chance to revisit the March Field Museum in Riverside County today. The last time I was there, I was with a buddy that was a bombardier on one of these over Japan during WWII.

My buddy did his bombardier training in one of these...although it may have been the "D" model rather than the "G".

Unfortunately Frank, they aren't set up to be viewed from the inside.

Here are a couple more shots. The SR-71 used to be outside and was in the movie "Space Cowboys". This is the two seater trainer version.

It's amazing how small that cockpit is in comparison to the rest of the aircraft.

Thanks. I always thought the F-86 Saber was one of the best looking aircraft ever. Simple, sleek and had great lines.
