Hello folks,

I was wondering if any of the board members had any experience with these specific filters - especially the 8-10 stop versions?

i saw one positive review (external link), but not sure if it was independent. I know that the board tends towards Lee versions, but I am not interested in waiting the time of the big stopper....

and if the review is true, this version has less of the slight blue/cool cast of the big stopper.

soooo.....anyone? and please notice that it is the IRND version!

I picked one of these up last year -- the version made for the Lee holder -- as, like you, I did not want to wait for the back ordered Lee Big Stopper. I have only used it a couple of times, but have been pleased with the results so far. Here are a couple of examples -- both shots were stacked with a Lee GND filter.

Thanks Scott M.
Nice shots. Thanks for the feedback. I, too, will not use the filters often - but when I do...I am interested in quality glass/filters. My other options I am examining are Schneider ND/GNDs
I am examining the less frequently discussed options.

FWIW, another thread about the same filter. Didn't read through it so I don't know how useful it will be.

How much, if any, color correction was applied to these? Or are these SOOC?

I performed some minor adjustments of luminance and saturation of select colors in Lightroom for the first one (mainly to enhance the yellow/orange of the sunset), but that is about it with regards to color. Same with the 2nd shot, but more with the red color.

Curious about this filter, I've been Googling reviews (which are relatively scarce).

Looking through the Lightroom history log of color affecting changes for the two example photos I posted, for the first photo I also adjusted the color temperature, along with saturation & luminance of orange and yellow. For the 2nd photo, I adjusted color temperature, aqua luminance, and orange & yellow saturation.

Hope that helps.
