I love the sharpness and the colors! My only question is, why does the whole thing look like it's leaning?

Great image I love almost everything about it, I would have cropped a little bit more on the right side of the pier but either way its still awesome.
Stuart.

yes there is some perspective issues with the 17-40L lens, especially noticeable on architecture scenes, I did run this through LR's lens correction but still leans a tad ;) thanks for commenting !!

Stuart.

I left some room on the right so as to not put the pier "dead center" kind of left of off to the left 1/3 side of the frame ;) Thanks for commenting !!

Heya,

Very nice, love the color.

Mind sharing how you processed this for that color?

Very best,

Thank you Mal and Mike,
Mal, post processing on this image was fairly minimal and the majority of it was done in Lightroom, its a 30 second exp and just by tweaking the sliders in Lightroom I was able to achieve most of what you see, then some slight noise reduction and sharpening and thats about it for this one ;)
Thanks again for commenting

Thank you Brent, much appreciated my friend !!
here's another version,a little more light in the sky and they had shut off the front flood lights at this point,, this image was distortion corrected in LR manually

Love it, Jim. You did an excellent job manually adjusting the image; you may have to message me how you corrected the "lean", if you have time and don't mind. I too have the 17-40mm and while I haven't experienced this phenomenon personally (yet), it's likely to happen eventually.

Thank you Fitnessfreak and cerett,,
freak ;) I corrected this image two different ways, a friend suggested some software that he uses, its called " DXO Viewpoint 2" which seems to work well, it'll profile your camera and lens, they have a 30 day free trial so I thought I'd try it then its like $49, but I also tried to adjust in LR which I already have, I adjusted manually as the adjustment the software did wasnt enough, its easy to do, you just add a grid and adjust the sliders till things are straight, it'll constrain the crop for you automatically too, so I might not buy the DXO since I got a good result from LR, you can do this as well in PS ;)
