I can't decide between the color and B/W versions. It feels that B/W version is more artistic, but it's hard to pass the vibrant colors.
What do you think?

The halo-ing (at 1 and 2 o'clock) is so much more evident in the color version, so for that reason alone I prefer the B+W.

anti halo filter? What do you mean?

Quick and dirty edit of the halo:

^It may be that your monitor isn't fabulous and / or isn't calibrated, because the halos are incredibly apparent in even the edit. A decent cloning job from the outside of the sky to the halo area using 'darken' setting would clean this up pretty quickly. The alternative would be re-visiting in the HDR producing program.

The piers in the B/W seem to lose a little contrast. I really like the color a lot. That little bit of halo doesn't bother me at all.

It's a good shot, has great color, nice composition, and good PP, but yea... I have to agree: the halos are so prominent they distract and ruin the image. Don't give up on it. It's a nice shot. Just do it again and watch carefully for halos.

Here's the re-worked image. Better?
I don't see any halos along the pier area.
