I went to your flickr site and was blown away. Your talent level and eye for the shot is incredible! I don't know if it is inborn or something one learns, but I feel humbled and inadequate after seeing your shots.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

..the wedding ring… looks like a man contemplating some life decisions he’s made. Newlywed bliss maybe?

Middle finger, right hand is not where a wedding ring is normally worn.

I like the shot as is, although a different knife may make a slight improvement.

OK - you made me look.

And I am glad I did. Not only technical quality but artistic as well. Kudos on your talents Birdmanjag.

That's the point, isn't it? Brooding, scary shot, man with knife, wedding band moved to middle finger? An obsession perhaps, unable to deal with rejection? To the point of murder? Who knows.... connect the dots!

You know, I can see some of the others' points about the rug and the knife, but I love how you edited this so freakin' much-that I don't even care about the rug and the knife; this picture looks awesome regardless of the slight prop adjustments that I MAY prefer. BTW, I also had to check out your flickr page and you do have some really great work on there. You even managed to make that nasty centipede/millipede-whatever the heck it is, look very cool-and that's saying something. Great work!

FYI: "Fitness Freak" is also known as "Amber" outside of POTN.

Exactly my point. I took it as meaning he moved his wedding band off his ring finger... hence another sign of trouble in paradise.

My name is Jeff, not actually Jose Canseco.
