Best compatible canon ink ?

Does anyone know which is the best compatible ink that is most close to the original canon CLI-526 ink ?

I have just went through the investigation into this same question and although I cant confirm my findings yet, many stated Precision Colors http://www.precisionco​lors.com/ were as close a match as you can get. I have ordered and received a refill kit for my Pro 9000 and will know more as I start to use the kit. I will say that the order was delivered promptly, with no issues. Hope this helps.

I am using precision colors in my epson R1900. I bought their resettable cartridges pre filled and am now refilling them myself from the 8 oz bottles. I cannot tell the difference from Epson OEM ink.

Only once did I use refilled cartridges, and that was a disaster - don't know the brand. Hopefully you will have better luck. Now I buy OEM and get good color. It's not worth the hassle for a few bucks.

One of the interesting points is that the newer Pro 100 Canon printer appears to use much less ink than the Pro 9000 MkII.

I couldn't resist one at $99 with a 50pk of 13x19 paper (after rebate); you're basically paying for a set of ink cartridges and the paper and printer are free. Of course this is the razor and blade model of business for Canon, but the side effect is that the Pro 100 is using radically less ink than the 9000 for an equivalent number of prints put through it. The difference was immediately noticeable and in addition the Pro 100 is (IMHO) superior, particularly where there is a lot of gray tonal range. (I suppose that's to be expected given the three blacks in there as opposed to one.)

We'll see if I continue to be impressed with this beast, but thus far I really like it. The WiFi connectivity is icing on the cake as it's no longer tethered to a USB cable either.
