I guess I need to go down to Santa Cruz..... I find myself slight over-saturated with Vivian Maier pictures/information. I can't help think the movie is coming out a bit too late.

Btw, if you get a chance check out In No Great Hurry with Saul Leiter. I saw it at the Miami Street Photography Festival in December, I think you will like it.

Just saw Finding Vivian Maier last night and it is fascinating. See it on the big screen if you can.

It's actually showing in Asheville later this month, so I'll definitely try to see it then.

Saw it on my big screen in the living room if that's any consolation.

EDIT: OOPS nevermind, I saw the 70-minute BBC Special called Vivian Maier: Who Took Nanny's Pictures

I'm Preston & I pretend to know what I'm doing but I really just wing it.

Wired ran a story on her.. that's how I came to know about her.. pretty cool story.

Have not seen the movie referenced in the title.

I think it's playing all week at Century Center.

Yes it is still playing.

Cool, thanks :). I saw some of her images in a local gallery, absolutely loved her work. Showing here in two days, definitely need to go and see it.

Heres a piece that was on WTTW (local) here in Chicago.

I find it really interesting when they talk about when she got her Rollieflex and when her worked changed. It's about 21/22 min in but watch the entire piece. Just push the start arrow. It's good.

Bummer! It looks like the nearest big screen showing is nearly two hours away from me. I'll have to keep my eye on the website in case more showing are added. Looks like it will be a great film -- thanks for sharing!
