Speedlight Diffuser help

I need help choosing a diffuser for my speedlite. Indoors, I bounce the light off the ceiling. I need help picking a diffuser that will work on my camera outdoors for fill flash. I'm shooting my 1 year old daughter that moves around too much for an off camera setup.

Hold up a 12" x -12" (or larger) piece of white foam core behind you and aim your light over your shoulder and fire away. It's easier than it sounds and will yield excellent results.

Outdoors, use bare flash for fill without a diffuser. Not even the built-in wide angle panel.
