A friend and I are planning to start a non nude model website in the near future. We have one model and have discussed everything with her. I just want to make sure we are covered in case anything happens like, she decides to quit and wants the site taken down. I want something that would prove she agreed to take the pictures and let them be sold online. I dont have any experience working with any type of model so i figured i would ask someone that would know. Anything I need to be on the lookout for? Thanks for the help.

You need a "model release form".

They differ from country to country with legal differences..

If you say where you are, someone may be able to email you a suitable document.

This is my standard release and it seems to work so far.

I always take a picture of the model holding the release.
If doing nudes then I also take picture with ID card, but if not doing nude, then just the release is fine. This way there is proof the model signed the release and had the opportunity to read it.

As mentioned different countries have different rules, as do different states within the USA. In Virginia if the model is under 18 even if you have parent/guardian signature, when she turns 18, she can request, within a reasonable period, you remove the pictures. As I read it, the guardian's signature enforces it until 18 (or the minor is legally declared an adult), but at 18 the now adult can essentially render the contract null and void. So avoid 17 year olds if possible. :)

Note: see lawyer in your area for accurate information.
