I'm convinced that as a whole, photographers are one of the most underpaid genre of workers. Think about how hard a wedding photographer works and how little they actually get paid after costs, taxes, etc. And on a separate, but parallel note, look at what war photojournalists go through and what they risk...and just how little they are paid. It's obvious that those that do it, do it for the passion...
