removing pictures from old posts

i'm finding i can't edit older posts to remove links to pictures. is there a way to do it that i'm not finding?

No, thats correct. Only a moderator can edit posts older than 1 week.

I put my forum images on photobucket for that very reason. Can't edit the posts later and remove them so I might as well use a hosting service that doesn't matter. My images are still in my "professional" gallery website, so removing from photobucket does no harm. Also it keeps server load down on my website and bandwidth, although cheap, isn't eaten up unnecessarily.
