Hello PONT. Coming up this year I am doing a wedding the same weekend as a big fair in the area and I want to make use of the fair at night for a cool night shot with all the ride lights etc.

I have done long exposure night shots with couples before but I am never confident about how to best go about the settings.

Thoughts on how you would shoot this. My idea is to have a ride in the background with the lights blurred and streaked with the couple nice and crisp kissing or looking at each other. How would you shot this?

Tripod, long exposure for the back ground, and light your couple with flash.

To not get ghosting the couple would have to not be lit by any ambient light. Unfortunately at a fair I see there being ambient in a long exposure to cause ghosting. So make sure they stand nice and still.

Until then find a way to practice what you're looking to do. Hell you could use some ghosting to your advantage and do some creative shots with it.
