Not sure if this has been done before or not.

The purpose of this thread is to show off you slowest handheld exposures, and is purely for fun.

IS or non-IS to make it interesting.

Please include...Camera, lens and settings.

I'll kick it off...

Camera...6D

Lens...35mm F/2 IS USM

Settings...F/16, 1/4 SS @ ISO 125 (please ignore the poor exposure, this was a test of the IS of this particular lens and of how low i could personally hold it)

Have fun :D

P.S. Shot is SOOC with camera sharpness at the default setting of 3.

My bad, laziness on my part to do a thorough enough search.

Mods feel free to delete

Well, I found a thread in 2008. https://photography-on-the.net …ghlight=slowest+hand+held

No images though - just a couple of posts.

I guess you could have replied to that thread, but then someone else would have had a dig at you for digging up such an old thread. Damned if you do... Damned if you don't. ;)

If there are others with images that I've missed - a link would be nice please. :)

As for the OP - I love the idea of the thread , and I think your shot is great.

But there are issues with comparisons (ie, such as Can you pull the same off with a 135? 8)

Who cares? It is a forum after all... not like we've never seen a redundant post before. But for the record I've been here a while and never seen this particular post so - hey! Why not?

That was kind of my purpose.

The lens is kind of irrelevant, more of a personal test for fun. Not intended to be scientific by any stretch of the imagination.

More of a challenge yourself/does IS help you personally.

Everyone has different needs, 20 years ago i didn't need IS, now, i'm finding it much more helpful personally.

That was kind of what i was going for, i've been lurking this forum since 09, and didn't recall this type of thread.

I hope my memory is better than my current wrist strength ;)

Little over a month ago. :p

I wasn't trying to stop the OP or the post. I'm was just letting the OP know they come around from time to time. They usually devolve into a debate about if IS is allowed and how to rate someone hand holding an WA w/o IS against a 4 stop IS telephoto.

It's been dead a little while, no reason we can't have another.

Not incredibly crisp, not well processed, and been posted before, but....

13 seconds, hendheld, of a person (my daughter). EXiF intact. Pretty good for 13 seconds. It was more of an experiment, but I can remember what the purpose of the experiment was.
