I just wanted to share these two headshots I took this afternoon. Lighting was a beauty dish overhead with a reflector under and a hair light right. C&C welcome.

I prefer the smile MUCH more. Her ear is causing a "bump" in her hairline. Nit picky, but it causes a break in the flow of the hair that keeps pulling my eye there. I'd either clone or liquify or both to smooth it out. But like I said, it is just a nit pick. Nice overall :)

Lighting is great, first shot expression says, "Why are you doing this to me?" Second one, "Yay! This is cool..." So I definitely go with the 2nd one.

She's slouching in both, which is common with people nowadays, but should be addressed nonetheless.

#2 is my pick.

And yup, the 'bumpy' ear is distracting.

#2 is my pick too.

Also, #1 seems just a tad bit darker. Did you process it differently? Looks like maybe only .1-.2 EV difference.

I noticed the OP never replied to anyone's comment. I then checked Andrew's last activity here; August 21, 2015
