There is a link to my 17-55mm posted for sale with pictures in my signature.
My lens "clearly" has 3-4 dust particles under it. But I am told you can't see them in my for sale pic, by a friend.
There is nowhere near that much dust in mine. I have had a UV filter from day one 24/7 as well
My lens is in good condition and always taken care of. But not "like new" it is used.

Your lens is "NOT AS DESCRIBED" You will need to return the lens and pay return shipping to get refunded.

My lens for comparison.

I have been using Ebay for several years and I have turned down many customers "trying to save me money" outside of Ebay.
I accept the Ebay fees and their protections.

I'm with the others... Definitely not like new. No new lens should be sold with any scratches on the glass.

Going around eBay is asking for trouble though. However even without eBay PayPal offers protection for the buyer (often unfairly for the seller). Hopefully they do not specifically exclude purchases from eBay that break eBay rules.

Btw I did but a heavily used copy which did have more dust than any lens I have ever had but it still has less than yours. Very heavy zoom creep. Basically the lens will drop the second you leave it at your hip. Just FYI. But.... That is not like new.

After rereading the transaction details posted.
the transaction was between you and the seller and not contact ebay at all if the seller can't resolve it himself.
This is a pay-pal transaction that has 'nothing' to do with ebay.
Contacting ebay for an item that was not sold through Ebay, they are not going to help you because the can't fix
a transaction NOT in their system, even if they were on your side. Contact the seller again and then Paypal.

Great. Make sure you keep documentation of all communication just in case an issue arises.

Hmm... If he's a member of FM, could he be a member here as well?

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

Got my refund. Now waiting on paypal to clear it (which is crazy considering it was an instant transfer).
