Batch processing and picture styles

Hi.

Please can you tell me if there is a way to change the picture style DPP uses when batch processing RAW files to output them in jpegs?

I don't use DPP often but I have a stack of RAW files I'd like to change to jpegs and I'd like to use different picture styes for some batches. So far I've only got it to output "standard" processed jpegs.

Sure, open the Raw file (or multiple Raw files) and in the Raw tab, DPP shows the Picture Style drop-down list, you can pick and choose a Picture Style and also tweak the Contrast, Saturation, Sharpening and various other setting as you please, just like you can do in the camera!

I'd like to refine Tony's answer: If you want to give individual attention to each image, select on the Main window all those that you want to edit and click on the left end button on the tool bar, Edit Image Window. Open the Tool Palette and on the Raw tab set your edits for each image. If, however, you want to apply the same changes to all the images at once without viewing them, select the thumbnails as above but stay on the Main window and open the Tool Palette. Any edits you make there will be applied to all the selected photos.
In either case, finish by clicking File/Batch Process.

Ah well, I do on occasion try to not be "Long...winded"!

Guys I tried this but when I look at the jpeg exif it says picture style - standard in all of them.

I've tried to process them with different styles but exif still says the same. Can someone shed some light?

I'm not expert with DPP but I'd imagine the Exif shows the in-camera Picture Style, not the adjustments made with DPP...

Thes picture style used in DPP is stored in the recipe which is integrated in the raw file. You can see it with a soft like ExifToolGUI in the CanonVRD section under the Maker button.
However when converted in JPEG I think this information is not stored. Only the camera picture style appears then.
