Windows System 7 file sorting

Okay, this is a weird one, and I don't really expect anyone to have an answer, but no question is a stupid question. Right?

I use Light Room 5 to convert and edit my Canon RAW files and export them to "My Pictures". Now, when I shoot with my 1DMkIII and export them to that folder, I can arrange the files by month, or arrange by day. Excellent. Now, when I shoot with my 1DMkIIn, and export to that very same folder, and arrange by month or day, the images do NOT show up (at all). If I arrange by 'folder', then there they are. If I display the 1DMkIIn images in a list, with details, the date IS there.

Any ideas why this might be and what I can do about it? It's just an annoyance more than anything.

Are you sure you're dealing with the same folder? Is this folder indexed? Right click the folder, click Properties, click Advanced button, make sure this option is checked: "Allow files in this folder to have contents indexed in addition to file propertires".

OKay, I looked and yes, that IS checked. When I export with the MkIIn, I use the exact same file settings as the MkIII. I don't do anything different. I'm guessing that the MkIIn does something with the .crw files differently from the MkIII ? Weird. Maybe I'll shoot a few .jpg and see if it happens with them too.

Nope. Whether shot as raw, or jpg, the exported files from the 1DMkIIn are not recognized when the folder is sorted by day or month. I cannot see the image file. However, if I arrange the folder by name, or name and detail, I can list them by date, and the images show up right at the top of the list! Very odd.
