I'm trying to put together plans to attend the Martinsville spring NASCAR race. this year it is my birthday weekend and I'm thinking nothing could be better.

Anyway, they shortened the loan period from 14 to 10 days and still require the same 2 week notice. (plus only one evaluation instead of 2) I'd like to time the evaluation to coincide with the race so I can do some real world testing. Thinking about the 5D3, though the 1Dx would be awesome. If something happened to it though, I don't think i could write that check today. I already have a 100-400L and was thinking about getting the 1.4 TC loaner as well since either of those cameras can focus at F8 and it is a daytime race, so I can bump the ISO up a little as needed to maintain shutter speed.

Was wondering if anyone has gotten an eval under the new rules, and if you have, did they ship when you expecteed it, or did it come sooner or later than expected?

Also, if anyone knows, are there any companies that will insure loaners or rentals like we would get from CPS? I have State Farm and they will not cover any borrowed, rented, or loaned equipment, only stuff I personally own.
