Hope he survives. Looks like it is wrapped around his beak pretty good. If you open the flickr link, you can see the fishing line and a sinker wrapped around his beak.

Oh my gosh.. That poor guy. It looks pretty far back on his beak though. Maybe he can still open his beak far enough to eat.

Heya,

Wow, incredible. Looks like he worked it all the way back so he can still open his beak. If he wasn't regularly eating, he wouldn't be flying around and his feathers look well groomed still.

We used to have a guy we called the `pelican guy' here around Cedar Key that did nothing but trap pelicans and remove fishing line and other stuff they get tangled into (most of them got that way going after free fish from fishing from piers).
