New Sigma 70-200 arrived yesterday so obligatory fiddling ensued prior to it's first venture.

A minor grievance... The lens hood adapter.

Why couldn't Sigma make the adapter a snugger fit to the lens than the hood? Reversing the hood for storage/transport leads to the adapter unscrewing with the hood when removed. It takes more force than is comfortable to remove adapter from inside the hood.

My Sigma came with that thing, too. I have never been tempted to mount it. The lens is long enough without it.
