At Amazon - the 100mm filter holder from Adorama costs $72 AUD, Shipping they want $88 AUD ! ! !

The 2 filters & rings from Amazon.com = $27 AUD shipping

Somethin' not right . . .

it's hard to see how they calculate shipping charges a lot of the time, especially international. I've had some gear from the US that was reasonable, and others where it was almost uneconomic. Got a temp controller from Hong Kong last week & they didn't charge shipping at all!

I did some digging into UV-IR filter response curves to compare with the hot-mirror already fitted and found a couple of useful (maybe!) links

I have brought a few filter bits and pieces from him and he is very quick and very well priced.

He is based in the UK and I am in New Zealand. I have recieved a couple of items within a week of my order and his delivery fee is very cheap.

The 10 stop high tech is a great way to go. I started with the Cokin filters but the colour cast was just terrible, especially when stacking them.

Very happy with the High Tech 10 stop. I also have ND and Grad by Kood and very happy with them too.

graphs indicate the filter will do a better job than relying on the one built in , but I think I'll wait & see.

Thx - I'll try crooked-Imaging, tho' I only want the holder, they don't seem to have just that, so I'll ask them . . .
