Wonder how they are on returns.. I got one from amazon where the right side was slightly softer than left and sent it back. of course amazon is about the easiest ever for returns but man this is a deal.

Bought a 100l during the winter sale. It was decentered. Told them that and they paid for return shipping and refunded in full.

Btw not sure if prices have been going up but bh and adorama now sell this lens for $400. So this is more than 1/4 off. Yup I bought one!

Samyang is coming out with a filter system specifically for this lens. not sure if it's out yet. you can search it if you would like for specifics. but filters are one of those things that you really get what you pay for, so I dunno if it's worth buying "budget" filters.

Here's some info on the filter system http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1268432 (external link)

Those filters look huge though, I'll just bracket my shots when shooting in high contrast light with this lens.

Thanks for posting this. I was going to buy one from B&H, they had it listed for $359, which was a good price. I jumped on this one though. Now I wait.

Does anyone know how this version is improved over previous versions? (Other than the red ring, which I know has magical capabilities ;) )

Improved coatings on the new lens, but one person in this thread below, does not see any difference.

he actually says that the 10mm has the coating and is not sure this lens does or not.

personally i would prefer the gold ring myself. don't like copy cats, especially of a signature.

Any Canadian buyers take the plunge? Says an extra $57 import fee estimate to be confirmed on final payment. If that's the case doesn't make it that much of a deal...
