My wife had a bunch of paper butterflies that she used in center pieces and floral arrangements. I got the bright idea of taking a couple and mounting them on my perches just to get the birds reaction to them, Well, I was also hoping they would actually enhance the appearance of the pictures themselves which was a total failure. However, the birds reactions to them were interesting, comical and sometimes down right hilarious. They didn't improve any pictures that's for sure but they did provide several days of amusement.

I wonder how you would crack that open?

Nice 'experiment'. I especially like #3 and the caption.

What a great idea Mike even if it didn't add significantly to the image.
I'll bet it was a hoot to watch the locals reacting in so many different ways as you showed in your captures. I think the Titmouse and associated captions made me laugh the most. Thx for that!

Thank you everyone it was just funny to watch how some birds reacted and just as interesting to see how it didn't even phase a lot of them. Just goes to prove that birds have varied personalities just as we do. Thanks again.
