Seller is very firm on $250. How important is IS for videos?. Tamron 17-50 non VC is going for similar price. It might be more handy for me than UW lens.
hand held video virtually requires stabilization.
FWIW, I just sold the 17-50 two days ago. Really liked the lens but needed something that fit my 6D. Probably going to pick up the Tokina 16-28 very soon. They 17-50 vs. 12-24) are really very different lenses.
Your above picture of the VW shows the main problem I have heard of the Tokina line, lens flare. I'm willing to deal with it. Hoping that I will be using it mainly for interior architecture, and that I can just clone out any unwanted landscape flare.
