Because they want me to shoot for them regularly. We are even talking about an eight page feature for March. And second this is a legit magazine who doesn't wanna be sued by the photographer for publishing his work without paying him.

Congrats that they want to work with you again (and pay you). Good outcome. Just FYI you can't sue a magazine for publishing a picture and not paying you.... if you gave them the picture for free.

Not for this one but the next one will be.

Hope that actually happens and they don't move along to someone new who will give up their photos for free. The world is big with lots of "first timers".

Congrats! But, Russians, regular, paid...... I really hope it happens for you, but don't get discouraged if it doesn't.

Something is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

Why would they pay for the next one if you already set the value of your work at zero?

Actually going forward they'll probably want more for the same price.
