I am looking to get another modifier; bought the 28" beauty dish and totally love it.

I was looking at the EZ-pro octagon softboxes on Amazon and need one with the "bowens" mount; are all the "boxes" the same?

Amazon has been out of the kit with the bowens mount but sell the adapter ring separate. Can I get any version along with the adapter ring and use it?

Thanks in advance

The umbrella soft box unit is all the same. You're right, the inner circle allows the ability to change different mount rings. I have the 48" version and since I have Bowen and Einstein strobes, I purchased extra ring to fit respective light.

They all have a larger then standard size insert ring then most standard softboxs and octas. You want to make sure you buy the one you need from fotodiox

Do you happen to know what size the Fotodiox inserts are, Scott? Are they larger than 152mm/6" ??
