Decided to clean off my Dad's old FT and take some long exposure pics. Apparently I did not clean it nearly enough. Try to ignore all the dust particles and tell me if any of these are interesting at all. I am sure if I put enough time in on PS I could clean them up significantly, just not sure it is worth doing.

Favorite is the first and fourth. The dust in/on the glass does distract me, so I don't care for 2 and 3. As for number 5, well, I just like 4 better.

Side note - the FTb (not sure the diff between FT and FTb) was my first Canon back in about 1974. Rolled my own film, B&W darkroom in the garage. A pack of 25 8x10 single weight paper set you back about $2.95 - which was a lot of money!

Thanks for the memories, and well done on 1 & 4.

Rad

I'd like to see both the lens markings and the "Canon" in focus in #2 and #3. With the current DOF, I feel like I don't know what was supposed to be in focus. Getting both parts in focus might take a telephoto and a longer distance to the subject...and the tripod. But, I think it would be worth the effort.

Super subject. Thanks for sharing your great concept.

1D-III with stuff to stick on it:
70-200L, 28-70L, 24-105L, 300L, 50, 10-17 fish, 2.0x TC
Image editing OK, encouraged, and expected. Thank you for helping me learn!

Yeah, unfortunately I noticed that that writing was slightly out of focus after I got them into LR. My concept was to have that writing crisp. These pictures were taken in a pitch black room with a 30sec exposure and an LED flashlight to light up the camera. I used my Tamron 17-50F2.8 on a tripod. Probably should have spent more time confirming the focus. I might take another stab at cleaning the camera, blowing off the dust and trying again.

Since it is my Dad's camera there is some sentimental value to the subject so it would be nice to spend more time and get a wall hanger out of it.

Took what i thought was the best one and cleaned it up…also added a little color adjustment to warm up the B&W image. Any thoughts on this one?
