Went up to the Annapolis Valley to Sheffield Mills for the annual Eagle Watch. Its an event put on by the locals as a means of raising some money for local organizations and churches (they use the increased traffic in the area to put on lunches etc.) The actual watching is free.
Yesterday was a perfect day, just above freezing, no wind and sunny. Unfortunately the eagles also decided that it was not much of a day to show up. LOL

Those that did were far away and few, but here are some shots I managed to get just the same.

Comments and suggestions always welcome. Thanks.

Target acquired.

Well done John

Thank you. Some times a series just seems to beg for some detail descriptions. :)

You got some! Great stuff John. Time to change the date on your copyright. I know you're a local guy cause you say you're going "up" to the valley, when by definition, a valley is "down". ;)

Thanks Ian, sometimes I still think that I'm a "come from away" still, even tho I've been in Nova Scotia for 40 some odd years. LOL

Can't remember a day as nice as this one for being in Sheffield Mills, but as I said very little activity with the eagles.

Still struggling with trying to get the birds in view through the viewfinder and the 500mm, these were with an additional 1.4x added and I think that I should have gone with the 2x but live and learn.

Still was a great day all told.

See your still having fun south of the border. Enjoy and take care.

There will be days when you get the shot(s) you missed days, months or years before.
