That's not even a rumor yet, just a patent. It would be an interesting lens but who knows when it would be released. Could be years away.

I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Still, imagine the popularity if it has as good IQ as the 70-300L or 100-400L

I would imagine the IQ would be pretty good along with the weight. Seems like Canon has learned how to sharpen things up with reducing weight also.

Or how about an EF 300-600 f/5.6L IS 1.4x and a 600 f/4L IS with a built in TC.
