The biggest problem of buying 85 &135

My 70-200 hasn't left the bag in over 3 weeks. The 85/135 is one killer combo for sure.

Which is weird because my 70-200 is my goto lens. Now I'm just confused... which lens do I goto now

Sounds like you found the 1 and 2 stop difference to be enough to have you forgo convenience. Are you becoming a prime junkie?

Now you go to the lens that... best suits the shot you're trying to achieve.

I am using my Sigma 85 more than the 70-200II these days, and the ironic thing is I sold Sigma 85 and 135L before for the zoom....am going in reverse...:p

I chose the 24L II over the 35L for the widest view of a 1.4 lens, and the 100L macro over the 85L to do double duty. Portrait and Macro
but it would be nice to have them all.

I need to remember other peoples mistakes lol. I still won't give up my zooms. When I need em I need em but they seem to have taken the last on the list status lately.

Novelty will wear off I suppose. But if not, sell what you don't need.

Are you using it at F1.4?

The 70-200F2.8MK2 is a great lens. But it's heavy, and it doesn't do F1.4 or F1.8. And it really does make a difference if the look you're looking for is a thinner depth of field.

I wouldn't call it backwards. I would just say that you're using the right tool for the image you're looking to make. The best lens out there isn't always the right tool. The best lens the lens that does what you're wanting for the shoot you're doing.

Most of the time no, I mainly use it between f1.8 - f2.8. But I do appreciate the smaller size (weight doesn't bother me as much as the size).

I won't give it up either. It definitely has its place when required.

My only way of moving foward is winning the lotto and get the 200f2 IS

I would choose the 50L f1.0 over the 200mm f2 but that's just me.
