When I took this shot, the turkey was about 75 yards away and in shadows. I cropped the shot then tried some editing n Picassa. The first image s straight out of the unedited version. The second mage is after editing. I like the way the editing brought out the feathers in the tom's fan. What do you think?

Heya,

Too dramatic for me. Looks like something that a cellphone app does.

I think the image in general is too busy for what you're trying to do with the two central birds. Had a lot of potential, but all the other birds really just clutter it up. And it just seems fairly soft and noisy, foggy maybe, on the central two. The color on the edit looks really unnatural.

Please take all the above as critical criticism, not as just being rude.

Very best,

Each photo looks different on many people's monitors.
I'm viewing this on my phone but the editing is a bit harsh to me also.

I do like that the feathers have detail but it appears as though the WB is too high and there is too much contrast.
However, the cool thing about art is that each piece is yours to do with what you wish.
If this editing makes you smile when you see the photo then go for it. I am not here to judge.
