issues with white bar across photos

given the issue is showing in pics at 1/250 (from exif) I see no point in testing at higher speeds, it's clearly faulty. I have a suspicion that Canon may not hold spares for these anymore so a repair may prove difficult. Best return it...

p.s. the image of the power meter shows classic shutter leaf rivet failure.
Also not that it matters but the shutter-count is alledged to be 113579 according to an online shuttercount website.


some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:
