We will be attending our first festival next month. The event will run into the evening hours so a light source will be needed. The setup is a typical 10' X 10' X 10' gridwall display with canvases hanging throughout. 3 wall EZ UP tent for cover. The prints are canvases so no glass.

I wrote the company where we buy the prints and they do not have a lighting recommendation.

I'm going to set the exhibit up in the driveway again and this time wait until dark before taking it down. I'll have a few different lamps on hand from the local stores to try out. Any specific lamps / type of lighting to avoid? I'd like to go LED, but from my experience LEDS do not tend to be that bright.

Thanks for any input.

Budget? Goals?
Are you you just going for ambient lighting of your tent, or are you specifically trying to highlight the photos?
Do you have access to AC power (outlet) or do you need to use batteries?

I love these:

Two strings will nicely light a 10x10 tent.
The bulbs are extremely delicate, so you'll need a way to store them securely - a hard plastic container and some layers of fabric, or something.
They have an LED version with plastic bulb globes - I think this is it (external link) - they're much sturdier but they just don't have the same "feel." Honestly, they're probably a better choice for a traveling tent, you can just toss 'em in a bag and they will be fine.

For lighting the artwork, something like these on a clamp - clamped to the "roof" rails of the tent, pointed at key pieces of art:
