Very nice captures of the redwings. Will be awhile yet before they start showing up in our neighborhood.

I've never seen a Red Wing black Bird that looked like that enlighten me will ya????

I'd never seen one before this year. My research indicates that these are 1st year males and haven't got the rich color and darker black feathers.

Thank you, both. This is the first time I've noticed them. They must already be getting much darker because I haven't seen any for weeks now.
